All Patches are zipped syx-Files or Midi-Files (useful software can be found in the Downloads-Section). To use the MIDI-Files, just click right on 'Save target as', extract them, load them into a sequencer and play them once with the output routed to your XP-30.

• MV Patches: CR-7800 Kit

  The Roland CR-78 drum machine was originally manufactured in 1978 and has been used on countless records over its lifetime. Now the sounds of the CR lives again in the new CR-7800 kit for the MV Series Production Studio.

• MV Patches: TR-527

  TR-505, TR-707, and TR-727: Roland has captured and combined these classic sounds into one convenient, 3-bank package called the TR-527.

• MV Patches: TR-808

  Every famous TR-808 sound, complete with knob twists and nuances, has been masterfully captured in uncompressed, full-resolution audio.

• MV-8800 Sounds: Dirt & Grime Kit

  This drum kit is available for existing 8000 and 8800 owners and spans a range of musical styles from urban, R&B and electro house. The kit has a slighty gritty sound and a wider-than-normal range of sensitivity so you can experiment with changes in swing and volume.

• MV-8000 Factory Patches

  This file contains the factory patches that originally shipped with the MV-8000. Please refer to the 'Readme.txt' file included in the download for more information.

Accessible via the free BOSS Tone Studio software, BOSS Tone Central is an invaluable resource for all users of BOSS Multi-Effects or Loop Stations. As many users of multi-effects processors already know, there is no such thing as too many guitar tones! Boss Tone Central provides you with a free library of patches, tones and loops to cover all of your backing tracks and tonal needs.

In this article, we’ll explain how YOU can access BOSS Tone Central and download some artist created patches and loops to unlock the full potential of your BOSS Multi Effects processor or Loop Station.

STEP 1: DOWNLOAD BOSS TONE STUDIO SOFTWARE

In order to access BOSS Tone Central’s repository of artist patches and loops, you’ll need to download the BOSS Tone Studio software onto your PC or Mac.

This free software not only enables you to access BOSS Tone Central, but you’ll also have access to TONE EDITOR – an onscreen visual editor which can be used to create or alter existing multi-effects tone patches right on your computer screen.

STEP 2: DOWNLOADING PATCHES FROM BOSS TONE CENTRAL TO YOUR DEVICE.

Once BOSS Tone Studio is correctly installed on your computer, you are ready to connect your device and load it up with artist patches from BOSS Tone Central.

In this video, we’ll show you how to access BTC content using the BOSS Tone Studio software, how to audition the patches and finally how to store them in your device:
STEP 3: BROWSING BOSS TONE CENTRAL FOR CONTENT

As you have seen content, the BOSS Tone Studio software provides you access to all BOSS Tone Central. However, the dedicated website at www.bosstonecentral.com is a very useful resource in itself. Here you are able to browse all of the available content to see which patches you may wish to download. The website enables you to read descriptions and hear demonstrations of the patches performed by the artist themselves.

For example, you might wish to browse to see what Gus G (Ozzy Osbourne, Firewind) managed to create for use on his BOSS ME-80:
Scrolling down further on the artist page will take you to a series of Soundcloud links and audio clip descriptions that offer you some previews of the downloadable patches, demonstrated by Gus G himself.
It’s a handy way for you to determine which artist patches you are most interested to check out on your device. It also allows you to listen to some of the patches available for other dethat perhaps you don’t own yet.

The Loop Station section has a wide variety of backing tracks available for compatible Loop Station products* which can all be previewed directly on bosstonecentral.com
As you can see, the content available at BOSS Tone Central has the potential to enhance your user experience with your compatible BOSS device. You can easily download tones and loops created by top professionals, and use the Tone Editor within the BOSS Tone Studio software (for multi-effects) to see exactly how these patches were created – and even customise them to your own requirements.
